As the court-ordered sale of TransPerfect Global Inc. nears the finish line, company co-founder Philip R. Shawe is showing no signs of relenting in his years-long fight to keep the profit-turning translation-services company off the auction block.

Shawe’s fierce opposition to the sale has first led him to publicly criticize in the press both the Delaware judge who ordered the dissolution and the custodian appointed to enforce the court’s ruling. But lately, Shawe has turned to the federal courts to protect his rights and to push back against what he sees as an attempt to box him out of the process to bid on the firm.
