The next best thing to solving a problem, someone has said, is finding some humor in it. With a full plate of problems during its 2013 term, the U.S. Supreme Court still found some humor in its pursuit of solutions, and sometimes at the expense of the lawyers appearing before it.
Even in the most serious or complex of cases, some justices are quick to display a witty reposte when an opening presents itself. Inside, we offer a sampling of a few of these lighter moments.
