Gov. Jack Markell on Tuesday named Tamika Montgomery-Reeves, a partner at Wilson Sonsini Goodrich & Rosati, as his choice to be the next vice chancellor on the Court of Chancery.

In Wilson Sonsini’s Wilmington office, Montgomery-Reeves specialized in corporate governance and represented companies in stockholder actions and “busted deals” litigation, according to the firm’s website. Previously, she worked on stockholder class actions and U.S. Securities and Exchange Commission and Department of Justice investigations for a New York law firm.
